Climate Although the country is located in a tropical climate zone many of the regions of Brazil are affected by altitude, sea winds and polar fronts. These weather conditions all affect the heat and humidity of the country. Five different regions in Brazil display different variations in weather, from the mild plateau region where Sao Paulo is located to the southern region which displays a subtropical climate where temperatures can top 90 degrees and fall below freezing. The hottest region in Brazil is in the northeast. Here you'll experience temperatures of 100 degrees often during the dry season which ranges from May through November.
