Real Estate Agents in Mexico

image_chapter

Real estate agents in Mexico are unlicensed and ungoverned. Anyone who wishes to be a real estate agent simply forms a Mexican corporation and opens their doors for business. Because there are no rules or laws in Mexico governing there actions, the purchaser should do a lot of investigating before using the services of an agent. To be fair though most agents will simply show you homes and may write your offer to purchase. Before the offer is accepted you should have your attorney examine the contract and terms to make sure all is legal. After this your attorney may conduct further investigations into title of the property and other legal aspects regarding ownership in Mexican property.
