The more populated and popular tourist destinations will have a larger selection of newer homes and condos, but many prefer the more laid back atmosphere of the small towns. The mountainous region will offer some very beautiful scenery including lushly forested hills and an abundance of wildlife. Small towns in this region have a quaint feel and the locals are very friendly and help you feel right at home. This area of Panama will be cooler while the beaches can be warmer. If the beach is what you want, there are islands and beach towns both large and small. These towns will be busy with tourists year round, but offer a very even climate with warms sunny days, often rain in the afternoons and balmy evenings. Sandy beaches and crystal blue waters await the beach and island dweller and soft rhythmic waves will lull you to sleep each night.
