Brazil’s Economy Affected Little By American Recession
In the recent past Brazil was greatly affected by any and all American financial fluctuation. When America’s financial health encountered a sneeze, Brazil came down with Pneumonia. This may no longer be the case as Brazil’s vast and recent economic diversification has taken Brazil from a financially dependent country to one of strength and independence. Brazil may very well owe its new found financial freedom to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his administration. Da Silva took office in Brazil in 2003 and immediately started working on the economy. His main goal for Brazil was simple…fiscal responsibility. Previously Brazil was the victim of a volitale currency, damaging short term investing and an unhealthy dependance on the global economy. Today, Brazil’s strong economic diversification has been tested and is showing true signs of a stable and self reliant economy. ![]() |
